OFFICERS' TRAINING DAY OF SRI LANKA ARTILLERY
2025-03-13The Officers' Training Day Programme, conducted by the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, is a pivotal initiative designed to enhance the professional development, leadership, and tactical skills of officers serving in the Sri Lanka Army. This comprehensive training programme aims to provide officers with the necessary tools to lead with competence, make informed decisions in dynamic situations, and excel in operational settings. The programme incorporates a range of practical and theoretical components that reflect the core values, traditions, and operational excellence of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery. Officers Training Day of Sri Lanka Artillery was held on 12 March 2025 at the Regimental Centre, Panagoda, with the participation of Adjutant General of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery Major General K V N P Premaratne RSP USP nps psc along with Senior Officers and Officers. The Training day proceedings starts with the Aerobics at APTS – Panagoda and followed by the lectures of ‘Modern Drone Technology in Military Operations and Future of Warfare’ and Artificial Intelligence in Warfare; Opportunities and Threats. And In the Evening a friendly cricket tournament was held with the participation of Senior officers and officers. The day’s proceedings terminated, with an informative and timely lecture by Prof. Wasantha Athukorala on 'Road to Resilence; Economic Recovery, Security Challenges and Future Growth' during the Diners Club at the Officers Mess, and the Officers Training Day concluded successfully, after enriching and inspiring Gunner Officers, on professional development towards Glory and Success.
