The 65th Annual General Meeting of the Ceylon Artillery Association was successfully held on 24 August 2025 at the Artillery Regimental Centre, Panagoda.

The prestigious event was graced by the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, Lieutenant General B K G M L Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by Major General K V N P Premaratne RSP USP nps psc, Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force and Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery.

The gathering, which brought together retired and serving members of the Artillery fraternity, was a significant occasion to strengthen regimental ties and review the association’s progress. A key highlight of the event was the appointment of the new board of officers for the upcoming year. Major General G V Ravipriya (Retd) WWV RWP ndc IG assumed duties as the new President, while Maj B A A Shriyarathne (Retd) and Maj H A Harisena (Retd) were appointed as Secretary and Treasurer respectively.

During the event, the Chief Guest interacted warmly with retired officers and other ranks, appreciating their continued support and dedication to the association and the Regiment. The meeting concluded on a high note, reflecting the strong camaraderie and enduring bonds within the Artillery community, as members looked forward to another year of service and fellowship.
