Inter Regiment Wrestling Championship 2025 – Artillery Wrestlers Shine with Outstanding Performances

The Inter Regiment Wrestling Championship 2025 concluded on a high note after three days of intense competition at the Army Physical Training School (APTS) Gymnasium, Panagoda, from 1 to 3 September 2025. Regimental teams from across the Army demonstrated exceptional strength, discipline, and sporting spirit throughout the tournament.

The Sri Lanka Artillery Wrestling Team produced an impressive performance, showcasing resilience and determination that earned them a proud medal tally and brought glory to the Regiment.

• L/Bdr Bandara PMSM – Bronze Medal (70 kg)

• Sgt Abeysinghe VGS – Bronze Medal (74 kg)

The standout performance came from L/Bdr Dakshika MT, who secured the Gold Medal in the 57 kg category with an outstanding display of skill and determination, making him one of the championship’s star performers.
