The Seva Vanitha Branch – Sri Lanka Artillery Donated Two Gas Cookers to the Ayurvedic Base Hospital, Minneriya and 500 Packets of Sunquick to the Polonnaruwa District Wadi Hiti Balamandalaya

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Artillery, led by its President Mrs. Vindya Premaratne, carried out a welfare initiative by donating two gas cookers valued at Rs. 25,000.00 to the Base Ayurvedic Hospital, Minneriya, which provides Ayurvedic treatment for nearly 80 patients daily with a bedding capacity of 104, serving the healthcare needs of the community.

This programme was graced by the Commandant of the Volunteer Force, Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Artillery, Major General KVNP Premaratne RSP USP nps psc, along with senior officers of the Sri Lanka Artillery and members of the Seva Vanitha Branch.

The donation will help improve the facilities of the hospital, which is headed by the Medical Superintendent, Mrs. B.I. Priyadarshani, ensuring enhanced services for the patients receiving treatment.

Moreover, the Seva Vanitha Branch also donated 500 packets of Sunquick to the Polonnaruwa District Wadi Hiti Balamandalaya. Mrs. Kusum Wijesinghe attended the occasion to receive these packets, which will be distributed during the cultural show scheduled to be held on 17 September 2025 at Abhayarama Viharaya, Minneriya.
