Inter Regiment Volleyball Tournament 2025 – A Display of Team Spirit and Sportsmanship
2025-11-07The Inter Regiment Volleyball Tournament 2025 was successfully held over two days at the Volleyball Court, Artillery Arena, Panagoda, showcasing an exceptional level of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among the participating regimental teams.
The tournament concluded with an exhilarating final match between 9 SLA and 5 SLA, where both teams demonstrated remarkable skill and determination. After a closely contested game, 9 SLA emerged as the champions of this year’s tournament, securing the coveted title.

The Chief Guest for the occasion was Major General W S V Fernando USP ndc IG, General Officer Commanding, 61 Infantry Division, who graced the event and presented the trophies and awards to the winners. His presence added prestige to the occasion and served as great encouragement to all participants.
The event concluded with a Group photograph featuring Runners up and the Winners, followed by expressions of appreciation to the organizers, officials, and players for their invaluable contributions. The tournament was a resounding success, reflecting the true spirit of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and regimental pride.
