LT COL DGIA KUMARA SLA BID FAREWELL AS COMMANDING OFFICER OF 5 (V) REGIMENT SRI LANKA ARTILLERY

Lt Col DGIA Kumara SLA Officially handed over the duties as the 16th Commanding Officer of the 5 (V) Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery, in a dignified ceremony held at the Regiment Premises in Seenipura on 21st November 2025..

The programme commenced with the Dinner at WO & Sgt mess on 18th November 2025, Farewell dinner at Officers’ mess on 19th November 2025, And the reviewing of the Guard Turnout and parade, followed by the formal signing of the handing over documents. The proceedings concluded with an All Ranks Tea, providing an opportunity for Officers and soldiers to extend their gratitude and bid a heartfelt farewell.

All Officers and other ranks of the Regiment joined together to convey their best wishes to the outgoing Commanding Officer as he embarks on the next chapter of his distinguished military career.
