The Commander, Artillery Brigade visited to 11th Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, Selvary, THALAIMANNAR.

Brigadier T G I A Ariyarathne RSP IG, The Commander, Artillery Brigade made a visit today (18th December 2025) to the 11th Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery at Talaimannar. During the visit, Brigade Commander solemnly unveiled the War Heroes Commemoration Wall “විරු පවුර“, which bears the names of 44 fallen war heroes of 11 SLA. These brave soldiers sacrificed their lives during the humanitarian operation that brought an end to over 30 years of brutal terrorism, restoring peace and freedom to the nation.

In addition, Brigade Commander participated in a All Ranks tea party organized by the unit in honour of Senior Non-Commissioned Officers who have completed 22 years of dedicated service and are to be retire in due course, as well as those departing from unit as per SNCO bd.

Concluding the visit, the Brigade Commander conducted a camp visit, paying special attention to the Artillery Guns yard stationed in the unit.
