The 14 Rocket Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery Celebrates “Mihidu Prabha” Poson Festival – 2026

The 14 Rocket Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery celebrated the “Mihidu Prabha” Poson Festival – 2026, symbolizing religious harmony, under the guidance of the Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, the President of the Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch.

The event was conducted under the vivid supervision of the Commanding Officer of the 14 Rocket Regiment, and the members of the 14 Rocket Regiment Seva Vanitha Group including spouses of Soldiers on Poson Poya Day on 29 June 2026.

As part of the celebrations, the Gunner family organized a "Bhakthi Gee" programme, a lantern display, and a "Dansala" offering buns and fruit juice near the Kalankuttiya Camp premises which was greatly appreciated by everyone.

The event was made possible through the generous contributions of civilian donors as part of Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) initiatives, as well as the generous donations of the Officers and Other Ranks of the 14 Rocket Regiment, Sri Lanka Artillery. During the programme, certificates and stationery items were distributed among the students of Kalankuttiya Vidyalaya, whose enthusiastic participation added significance to the occasion. The event was attended by the Government Agent, the Chief Incumbent of the Kalankuttiya Temple and several other distinguished civilian representatives to presence further enhanced the success of the programme.
