Gunner Sisira Kumara KADA Shines at the Army Para Games 2010

Gunner Sisira Kumara ADA of Reinforcement Battery of the Regiment of Artillery, who lost one of his eye due to terrorist attack secured second and third places in track events in his first appearance during the Army Para Games 2010 held on 23 & 24 Sep 2010 at Army Headquarters Grounds. Regiment of Artillery took part for an Army Disabled Games for the first time and two athletes brought glory. Lance Bombardier Chandrasena EWDK who participated in the Air Rifle standing position event under amputatees catergory won the first place. Secretary of Defence Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa, arrived as Chief Guest. He was warmly welcomed by Commander of the Army Lt Gen J Jayasuriya & Maj Gen JC Rambukpotha, Chairman, Army Sports Committee for the Disable. Maj Gen JC Rambukpotha raised the vote of thanks and praised the War Heroes for their excellent contributions. Results of Gunner competitors:
