New House for a Artillery War Hero

2013-10-16

The Seva Vanitha Unit (SVU) of the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development handed over the keys of a newly constructed house to a war hero at a function held at Wilawa, Balalla in Maho on 15th October.

The event was held under the patronage of Chairperson of the MoD Seva Vanitha Unit Mrs. Ioma Rajapaksa. Mrs. Ioma Rajapaksa ceremonially handed over the keys of the house to S/159189 Gunner Dasanayake DM of the 11th Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery during the function.

Vice Chairperson of the MoD SVU Mrs. Indu Rathnayaka, President of Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs.Champika Rambukpotha, Senior military officers and people of the area were present at the occasion.
