Major Sumith Jayasekara wins the 'Golden Owl' at DSCSC

Major Sumith Jayasekara of Sri Lanka Artillery was awarded the prestigious " Golden Owl" award for being the first in order of merit among the Army Students in the Defence Services Command & Staff College (DSCSC) Course No 7. Dr P.B Jayasundara, Secretary to Ministry of Finance and Plan Implementation was the Chief Guest at the Graduation Ceremony held on 13 December 2013 at the DSCSC, Sapugaskanda.. Including Major Jayasekara four artillery officers have been awarded the " Golden Owl" award so far which is most by any regiment. 16 Artillery Officers graduated from the DSCSC Course No 7, giving the rare honour to Sri Lanka Artillery of being the regiment to produce the highest number of graduates in a single course. Regiment of Artillery congratulates the Officers graduated and wish all the success in their future endaevours. Names of the graduates are given below:
