Lt Ajantha Mendis Crowned as Best Sportsmen of the Year 2014

Lt Ajantha Mendis SLA was named as the Best Sportsman of the Year 2014 for his outstanding achievements in the game of cricket. He was the world highest wicket taker in the ODI in 2014, member of the champion teams of T20 World Cup and Asia Cup 2014. He received the jubilant trophy from Mr BMUD Basnayake, Secretary to the Ministry of Defence during the Sri Lanka Army Colours Night held on 12 February 2014 at BMICH. The Colonel Commandant and all members of Regiment of Artillery extend warm wishes on his achievement.
