Charitable Event Organized for Familily Members of War Heroes

Sri Lanka Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch organized a brief ceremony on Saturday 08th August 2015 as second stage of the year, to offer donations for family members of our war heroes.

This ceremony was launched at the auditorium of the 4th Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, Panagoda headed by the president of the Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs Premilla Perera as Chief Guest.

Ceremony was conducted to distribute essential life support to needy ones and some educational assistance to the children of war heroes who are expecting high results in their education. Five wheelchairs, including a commode wheelchair, organized by Seva Vanitha Branch and two wheelchairs sponsored by Sampath Bank were donated during the event and Mr Shamal Seneviratne, the Manager – Pawning and two members from Sampath Bank joined the ceremony.

Four Laptop Computers, sponsored by Singer Sri Lanka PLC was distributed among few school children including one of attending high education. Donation was obtained under the direct coordination of president of the Seva Vanitha Branch –SLA.

Distribution of valuable donations were made the Hon President and several other senior members of the SVB – SLA. Several entertaining feature of the Artillery Cultural Group, which was in the included intermittently, add glamour and colour to the day’s event.

All executive committee members and several other senior members of the Artillery Sava Vanitha Branch were present to witness the program and president Seva Vanitha Branch – SLA, Mrs Premilla Perera express her gratitude to all contributed for this noble endeavour.
