Officers' Training Day of 14th Rocket Regiment

Officers' Training day of 14th Rocket Regiment Special training session for officers of 14 SLA was held at its Headquarters Kalankuttiya on 31 May 2017 with the participation of unit and invited officers from the Gunner family. Officers attend the customary morning PT Session and participated for a lecture conducted by Commanding Officer on Regimental Accounts during the first session.

Fundamental event of the days training, Presentation by Capt Asitha Amarasinghe - BC 142 Bty, was commenced at 1100 hrs which witnessed by all officers invited. Presentation was based on a very timely topic, Hybrid Automobile, which was witnessed by the chief guest and all officers present. Presentation was lively and informative one which concluded with subjective discussion among all participants. Chief Gust made his concluding remarks in a thought provoking order appreciating the research and effort taken by the Capt Asitha Amarasinghe. The event was organized as directed by Comd Arty Bde in partial fulfillment of Officers Career Development initiatives proclaimed by the Colonel Commandant. .

Chief Guest for the Presentation, Col C S Munasinghe WWV RWP RSP USP psc IG – CO 15 SLA, was received by the Commanding Officer and Guard of Honour was accorded to mark his presence at the 14 SLA. Session was terminated with lunch hosted at Officers' Mess and chief guest paid a brief visit within the camp premises. .

CO 10 SLA, Lt Col Roshan Kannangara with his officers and ERE officers of 14 SLA attended the session as other invitees.
