WELCOMING/ FAREWELL CEREMONIES OF THE NEW PRESIDENT, FORMER PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT OF ARTILLERY SEVA VANITHA BRANCH

1. Welcoming ceremony of the new President and farewell ceremonies of former President and Vice President of Sri Lanka Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch held on 02 June 2018 at the officers Mess of Regimental of Artillery.

2. At the outset of the welcoming ceremony of the new President, a two minutes silence was observed to commemorate War Heroes who sacrificed their lives for the motherland. Lighting of the traditional oil lamp by President Mrs. Thanuja Dias and other senior members of the Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch denoted the commencement of the day's proceedings.

3. The new President took over the appointment and announced new committee members. Further she made a brief speech and welcomed all members present.

4. New President and all members welcomed former President Mrs Priyangani Jayasundera and Former Vice President Mrs Yasanthi Weerawardane to the occasion. Several entertaining features of the army cultural group, add glamour to the day's event.

5. During that moment a financial donation worth of Rs; 100,000.00 was given by the President to a widower of Gunner family as a life support and essential needs and also a wheelchair was donated to a father of a Gunner.
